SG TRAVELS: THE RITZ-Carlton LA Live
I have the travel bug, I must admit.
I’ve been home for about 20 days the past 3 months… I’m not complaining. 🙂
After the Oscars week madness, we drove up to downtown Los Angeles. Yes, I was in LA for like 2 weeks with my car (continuing from the Marina del Rey post).
Let me just say, you know you’re pulling up to The Ritz-Carlton LA Live location when you see Ferraris, Bentleys, and Mercedes parked at the valet at any given time. If the valet is not much of an indication, the building is the chicest, tallest building downtown, which provides a great view of the city and the even Hollywood sign.
I checked-in into the Junior Suite located on the Club Level – amazing. The room was modern, with one bed, couch, and an office. The bathroom had enough shelves for all my beauty packages that arrived!
Again, Club Level gives access to The Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge that offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, (the best macarons) along with a personal concierge who helps with anything you need. I did most of my work there in the mornings, it had a good vibe.
BTW, the pool is DOPE. Although, as you can see by how pale I am, I didn’t have a chance to tan much.
Around the Area: Located at the heart of LA,The Ritz-Carlton LA Live is right around the corner from Staples Center, The GRAMMY Museum and an array of downtown restaurants, entertainment venues and nightspots. I went out to Katsuya and Wolfgang Puck.
Note: The Ritz-Carlton sent me their official Oscars accommodation (a rare gift) to my room as a surprise – a chocolate Oscar statue, champagne, and a few gifts. It was such a treat!
My stay was lovely, as expected with The Ritz-Carlton, they never disappoint. The staff is very accommodating, even when you call to request 15 bottles of shampoo and body wash to make the perfect bubble bath LOL!
