SG Talk: Knowing Your Worth

Friday, February 5, 2016

Do you ever feel like you’re not good enough? I know I do. More times than I can admit.

I’m the type of person to fake it until I make it, even if deep down I have no idea what I’m doing or how I’m feeling. I just put this giant guard up and pretend to be okay.

But knowing your worth doesn’t come from other people or even from the things you do. It comes from the inside. Setting standards for yourself and never letting them go. Understanding that we, as women, are worth more than the most precious jewels. Don’t lose that.

Sure, it might be hard as hell to stick to those standards, but in the end being able to recognize your value you become more selective. You stop wasting your time with unnecessary people and stop doing unnecessary things.

How do you finally see that you’re 1 in a million? Draw a box. Put yourself and write what you stand for inside of it – your beliefs, ideas, religion, political views, clothing choices, pictures, anything.. And things that you would NEVER EVER do outside the box.

It’s important to remember that we are dynamic. WE CHANGE. It’s okay to change some things around but at the core, you should always maintain to what your morals and ethics lean you towards. There is no right or wrong answer, only what works for you.
