rag and bone SS16 RTW
Yes, I was scheduled to depart NYC on Monday night, but literally the second I got my official invite for rag and bone I rescheduled it for the next morning. It’s not everyday you get invited to rag and bone, especially when they decide to show it at St. Ann’s Warehouse in Brooklyn. And no, I’ve never been to Brooklyn before, but if Anna Wintour says Brooklyn is the new Silicon Valley, YOU HAVE TO GO.
I have no idea how I even got into the show, but I somehow manged to be among the elite of fashion. Anna del Russo, the Man Repeller, and countless other A list attendees. I ended up sitting a row behind Shea from Peace Love Shea, Natalie Off Duty, Bryan Boy, and Camille from Camille Over the Rainbow. I even met Shea, she was very sweet and took a selfie with me because one of my good friends is obsessed with her.
The show was v exclusive with only 2 rows. The lighting was dim, the music was loud, and the models looked ultra chic with slicked back knotted hair. The collection was cool, easy, effortless – channeling the designers 90’s Britsih roots dominated with dark colors and piercing white fabric and sportswear mixed in with some classic silhouettes. Slip dresses, techno-rave sportswear, mesh, track pants, hoop earrings, and some dope sweaters that I’m dying to get my hands on. What I loved the MOST are the simple dresses that rag and bone has perfected. One for every mood!
Thanks for the invite rag and bone, it was an incredible show!
