The Polo Lounge @ The Beverly Hills Hotel

Thursday, March 24, 2016

I was really looking forward to visiting the famous The Beverly Hills Hotel all week with my girlfriend and fellow blogger, Jessi Malay, for some lunch. It was just another sunny morning in LA when all of a sudden it started pouring down raining the moment I got to the valet!

Apparently, rain never happens in LA? Everyone was freaking out. The streets were deserted, places were closed! No one even went out that night. It was actually a bit hilarious since I’m from Seattle. We don’t even use an umbrella or own rain boots – it’s just a little rain. 🙂

We had originally planned to visit the Cabana Cafe but because it was raining the space had been closed – Gasp! We grabbed lunch at The Polo Lounge instead. The place was packed due to the the rain but luckily we were seated at a window table that overlooked the entire courtyard. The place is totally chic and felt very cozy.

For the appetizer, we ordered the Shrimp Cocktail and the Ahi Tuna Tartare. I ALWAYS have to order the Ahi Tuna Tartare, it’s my favorite dish. This one did not disappoint – so good! For my entree, since I’m a big seafood fan, I decided to get the Atlantic Salmon.

Over the course of two hours, Jessi and I sipped on a glass of Chardonnay and had some major girl talk. It was a pleasure to be able to dine at The Polo Lounge and catch up with Jessi one-on-one. Her advice about moving to LA was helpful, it was just what I needed to hear. She’s really successful in the blogging/music industry and I really look up to her. Can you believe it? I used to watch her on Disney Channel when I was little!

BTW – I found out you can come in to The Polo Lounge for some afternoon tea on Friday and Saturday from 3-5pm! How cute? I have to come back with my mom!

More About The Polo Lounge

The Polo Lounge has been the favorite breakfast spot and watering hole for generations of stars and Hollywood deal-makers. In the evening guests can come to relax and enjoy one of our many specialty cocktails or one of our old favorites.
