Keep Your Skin Clear While You’re Stressin

I said it before and I will say it again, CLEAR SKIN IS THE BEST ACCESSORY.

I get facials every month, wash my face religiously,  try to eat healthy, blah blah blah, but seriously when it’s that time of the month or when I’m stressing more than normal my skin just goes CRAZY. During this time I know I have to take seriously precautions to prevent breakouts.

  • Scrub 2-3 times a week for 1 minute. I actually count out loud so I know that my skin is fully scrubbed after my normal face wash. I use

  • I drink lots of water. Probably a few more glasses than I usually do because I know that when I stress I drink more coffee and dehydration never helped anyone. Plus, water helps with so much more than just clear skin!

  • Make sure to wash my face and night and in the morning.

  • Using less (oily) makeup. My skin is more oily prone so I stay away from products that are oil based. I also try to use less makeup overall. The less dirt on my face the better!

  • Stay away from processed foods. If I eat french fries or other fatty foods I seriously wake up with a breakout. My skin is so sensitive.

  • Change the pillow cases every 2 nights. So much bacteria and dirt lives on your pillow cases! It’s CRUCIAL to switch them out especially during stressful times to help manage breakouts. I also heard silk sheets work best.
