How to Achieve the Beauty Trends from NYFW

Even though we are entering into fall, I fell in love with a few beauty spring/summer trends, with the help of Walgreens, that I will be adopting for my fall beauty look.

Clear Skin

A huge trend on all the models is clear skin. Except, of course, the occasional break out, clear skin NEVER goes out of style. In fact, I think it’ your best accessory. Your face is your first impression and you want that impression to be a great one. Having suffered from acne most of my live, I now take extreme caution of the products I use. Since I was gifted the Botanics BOT TRPLE Age Facial Serum and the NO7 P&P Intense Serum Tube, I have now been using them a few times a week (in addition to my normal skin care routine) for a healthy glow. This makes my skin nice and dewy so in the morning my skin is soft and ready for makeup application.

The No Makeup – Makeup

Referring to my own personal makeup trend I wrote about a few weeks, the runways were full of fresh, minimal makeup at rag & bone, alice + Olivia, Creatures of the Wind, and Alexander Wang. I even heard that two minute facials were all that was required for the Public School show. Minimal coverage heightened the models complexions and natural beauty. It’s true; we really don’t need that much makeup to look beautiful!

To achieve this natural look it’s easy to use the Botanics BOT HIGHLIGHTER PEN FAIR and Botanics BOT HIGHLIGHTER PEN WARM to freshen up your face in the morning. Followed by the NO7 LASH IMPACT MASCARA BLK and a smudge of Colour Prevails: Eye Shimmer Powders on the bottom lids. Personally, I like to add a little countour to an all natural look, which is why I use the  NO7 PERF BRONZED MOSAIC BRONZ to create some definition. For the perfect finish, use LUSTROUS SHINE LIP POLISH. It’s my favorite! The color is soft and just enough to brighten my lip.

Bold Eyes

In contrast to the minimal makeup, the eyes were all show. In shows like Monique Lhuillier, Nicole Miller, and Kate Spade, bold eye shadow and eyeliner made a statement. Daring and unconventional eyeliner is a youthful twist to a traditional liner. This look can be achieved with COLOR SATURATED EYE CRAYON or the VIVID VINYL EYELINING FLUID. The best part? You don’t have to be a perfectionist to use these products. The eyelining fluid goes on smooth and easy and the Color Saturday Eye Crayon is great for a smeared smoky eye look.
