If you crave a priceless city view, a dirty vodka martini, and perhaps some dumplings – say no more – Hotel 50 Bowery is your next destination in the city. Located in the heart of Chinatown, 2 minutes from Little Italy, and a mere 5 min stroll to SoHo, this new little gem is quickly becoming a favorite.

Hotel 50 Bowery welcomed me for Halloween in their Kindred suite. The hotel overall is chic, modern, and offers both a rooftop lounge, properly dubbed The Crown, and dining on the ground level, Rice & Gold. It’s this fusion of New American meets Asian cuisine, and I have to stay, the sharable dishes are quite good. I have returned for seconds even now that I am a local.

This weekend was quite special as it also celebrated my move to NYC and therefore marked my bi-coastal transition. It was such a pleasure to rekindle with my old friends here in the city¬† and make the change a bit more fluid. The week was a blur of champagne and pleasant company – I’ll leave the rest to your¬†ingenious imagination. Although, my favorite costume I wore was my custom 1800’s dress where I portrayed the young Marie Antoinette (see first photo).

I do have to say that my favorite bit of Hotel 50 Bowery is the city view from The Crown and their standard suites. It’s undeniably breathtaking at any hour of the day, sunny or gloomy, night or day.

If you have a penchant for trendy decor and welcoming staff, I highly recommend making¬†Hotel 50 Bowery¬†your next stop when you’re in the city.
