End of Summer Essentials
If you’re anything like myself, you spent the summer building your resume and occasionally attempting to soak up some sun. On the other hand, maybe you spent your holiday gallivanting through Europe, in which case I’m super jealous and we’re not talking about it any more. Either way, I know exactly what you need to get yourself back in tiptop shape for the start of the semester.
Firstly, if you’re like me and spent the summer inside, I’ve got your back. Saint Tropez Self-Tan Bronzing Mousse A year-round staple, this mousse is guaranteed to make you look like you were vacationing in the south of France, even if your Insta feed says otherwise. In the summer, I tend to need something a bit stronger, so I get the mousse in extra dark. It’s infused with aloe vera and highly pigmented color, so you’ll not only be bronze and beautiful, but you won’t smell like tan either. Remember to exfoliate like crazy prior and moisturize daily afterward. Second, if you’ve been vacationing in Europe, or spending any amount of time in the sun, really, this sunscreen is essential.
La Roche-Posay Anthelios 30 Cooling Water-Lotion Sunscreen. All of La Roche-Posay’s products are actual gold, but this one in particular is super important if you’re planning on heading anywhere outside. It’s paraben-free and amazing for sensitive skin so it’s been in my medicine cabinet for a few years now. It won’t make you break out and won’t come off in the water or if you’re working up a sweat. If you’re not heading out in the sun but you don’t yet have a go-to sunscreen, try La Roche-Posay’s Anthelios SX Daily Moisturizer Cream with Sunscreen. Either way, get yourself some sun protection. It’s 2015.
Finally, no matter where you’ve been this summer, I seriously recommend this next product. Not only does it do wonders for your skin, but it smells like heaven on earth. Nuxe Dry Oil Huile Prodigieuse Spray. I’m not sure if you’ve gotten into dry oil yet, but if you haven’t, I’m here to tell you: now is the time. It’s literally perfect for everything. After shaving, it’s a must for silky smooth legs. After a blowout, it is essential for adding shine, softness, and an amazingly light scent. At night, it’s a crucial part of your bedtime skin care routine. Basically get this dry oil. And then when you become completely obsessed with it like I know you will, you can get the matching perfume. People will literally chase you down the street to tell you that you smell fantastic. True story.
