Dress like an LA Local – PT 1

Wednesday, May 18, 2016

Like Steve Jobs, I’ve fallen into a daily uniform that I just can’t break out of. I never noticed it before, but you can TOTALLY tell a difference between an LA local and a tourist. The tourists wear color, sun dresses, and shorts while the locals are wearing black, long sleeve jackets, with no sundresses or color in sight.

The locals told me, it’s all black, white, and neutral tones that mix and match easily when you’re running late in the morning.

#1 – Comfortable. #2 – They go with everything and anything and work well day-to-night. I’m obsessed with long-sleeve one for a casual day.

Black Jeans

BLACK DENIM IS LIFE. I always like to add extra rips on my jeans that I grabbed here.

White Tee

Game changer. I stop up on 20 at a time but I love this Nastygal one with a pop of color.

Leather Jacket

Feel like a bad bitch, be a bad bitch. A simple tee is transformed with a leather jacket. And no joke, no one really wears anything else. It’s 80 degrees and people are still wearing them. This ASOS Cropped Biker jacket is under $100 and totally chic.

Reflective Sunglasses

Just don’t scratch them. I usually wear my Dior’s or when I’m afraid to scratch them I grab these round one for $16 that I won’t care about breaking. 0:)

White Sneakers

You can go as classic as the Green Stan Smith Adidas originals or something trendy like the SUPERGA platforms. It’s all about personal style.

Good luck x
